Are there any exercises to improve my wobbly ankles and balance while standing ?
I have been in the martial arts for 6 months, and this is a problem area for me. It is also a problem in yoga- I can only hold some of the standing poses for a very short time- I have only been doing yoga for about a month. Any suggestions ?

- Strengthen the muscles in your knees. After my accident the reason I couldn't balance was because of my knee. Do some leg lifts/curls or other leg strengthening exercises.
- Practice standing on one leg for as long as you can and work your way to standing longer.. also try standing on a pillow with one leg at a time with your eyes closed for as long as you can.. keep practing those I work for a PT and those are some exercises they have patients perform
- You can try rocking up on your tiptoes and back, this strengthens your anklees. You can slowly rock up onto your tiptoes, then back to flatfooted, and repeat this as many times as possible, trying to improve how many you do by a couple each time or so.
- Continue with the practices.
