Drawing Exercises

what is the best martial art for me?

Something thats close quarter combat, thats defensive and offensive at the same time, that has muscle strengthening exercises and can help alot in a rough patch and work on most attackers. I dont wanna be scrawny but I dont wanna be bulky either, something that contributes the teachings of the best quality of a fight.Accurate, precise, intelligent, fast and strong. After traing for 5 years, I wanna be able to defend myself against most attacks and know where and when to attack. Also must be a martial art that can either be taught by oneself or at least maintained by oneself.

  1. Kung fu.
  2. Then I suggest any style first that is a close quarter style like Thai Boxing or Wing Tsun , San Soo is also very effective as a close quarter art as all Choy Li Fut styles are for close quarter combat. They all offer great full time practice, most folks don't know Thai is Ancient and has forms and or Shadow Boxing which is comparable,as well as does Kali, San Soo, Capeoria, etc etc... Now add weapon forms training and well it is a blast as a lifestyle.
  3. any grappling style, though theyre hard to keep up on your own you'll know enough without practicing to take out your basic street attacker even when rusty, if you ever do it seriously for a while no effective fighting can be learned without a partner or partners, thats why the styles which focus on kata have been so ineffective in actual combat, you need a resisting opponent to learn the praticle and subtle skills needed in a real fight.
  4. Hwa Rang Do its the best thing for you and it covers everything close counter, grapples, kickboxing, self-defense PS:its like kickboxing with judo or jujitsu this is a Korean martial art that was for imperial soldiers these Korean soldiers were the most feared martial artists in all of Asia
  5. wing chun might be goog
  6. if you are looking for both offensive and defensive. I would go with Muay Thai or boxing. But if you want defensive then go with Aikido,JuJitsu
  7. Jujitsu maybe? If you want to learn kung fu properly, it takes a LONG time! Any martial art will do if you stay with it long enough to become proficient! .
  8. It really depends... But I'd say Muay Thai fits the description. It's actually one of the most effective stand up fighting style in my opinion.
  9. Look into Wing Chun kung fu. I practiced is for awhile and it is very fast and effective as well as easy to learn.
  10. Definitely silat. http://youtube.com/watch?v=BwDGaEwtR0k http://youtube.com/watch?v=x5hfyfAQqEY
