in my organic packet there is an exercise where i have to draw the structural formulas and some of them have "nitro" in them. like these: 1,3-nitrobenzoic acid 1,4-nitrophenol can anyone help me out? thanks! :)

- The nitro group is the NO2 group.
- a nitro group is an NO2 group. THe following, for example is nitromethane CH3NO2. another: Nitrobenzene is C6H5NO2
- There exist two groups with the global structure NO2: the nitro group, and the nitrito group. The nitro group is linked to the main skeleton through the nitrogen atom: -NO2 ; while the nitrito group is linked through an oxygen atom: -ONO.
