  1. start wackin the worm. it really helps
  2. drawing.........relax your mind and let it wonder in the world-you're creating
  3. You could draw the basic 3d shapes and then using one point perspective and then two point perspective, you could use light and shade... . Actually, you won't find a tip or trick to make you a better drawing, Today, practice and observation and more practice is the only way to increase your drawing skills. It helps you to know, what is necessary to learn, but in the end, your going to find it hard to develop your own style if you don't look at other work, by people that you feel are the best! Good Luck!
  4. there are probably hundreds of different things you can do to increase your drawing skills. For figure drawing, gesture, blind contours, anatomy studies, life drawing lessons, sketching people on the subway or in the mall, sculpting with anatomical referances. For environments, you can copy things you see, sketch locations on site (go somewhere and draw what ever is in front of you.) study 1,2,3 point perspective, curvaliniar or 4 point perspective, atmosphereic, isometric. there are a dozen different perspective sysytems. For color work you can do still-lifes, paint your hand, (a picture of your hand not on your hand) study color theory, tonal pattern, study light sources, warm and cool colors, contrast, Bottom line is it takes alot of time to get good at drawing, if your willing to put in the time you will get results. Draw from life as much as you can, draw your dog, your room your family, people at school, the hallways the lockers the trees the cars. Anything and everything, from life. This will increase your visual vocabluary, increase your hand eye co-ordination, all kinds of stuff.
