I would like to know what a rough sketch of a basic training schedule looks like..?
when do they get up, when do they eat, what do they do for exercise first, how far do they run.. that kind of thing. Thank you!

- It would help if you said which branch.
- Anytime before 11pm is fair game! They eat what is being served in the DFAC, they have to pass PT tests their age/sex is determines the exact amt and time frame alloted.
- I can tell you that you don't get a schedule for Army basic training. Expect to be up at approximately 4:45 to 5:00 am. You will do Physical Training which will include running. You will work your way up to running up to 10 miles. You will go back to your barracks, clean up yourself, and your area. Eat, have formation and then the day will proceed. Your question reads like one I asked before basic. You are in for the surprise of your life. There are no set schedules. There are no promises of what, who, why or when. Expect anything at anytime. I showed up at basic with a swimming suit and tennis racket. My recruiter told me many lies. I learned to love the Army and still do to this day. I turned out to be a good soldier. Prepare yourself for anything!!! Be ready for the ride and ride it out!!!! It can be fun if you take it for all it is worth!! Look at it as an adventure instead of torture and you will enjoy it!! Believe none of what you are told before hand and only half of what you see. That is a rule I've learned to adhere to in the Army!!!!
- it REALLY depends on what branch. USCG is up at 5am, pt, then breakfast, then classes till your mind explodes, then pt, then lunch, then falling asleep in class, then pt, then dinner, then pt, then hit the rack at 2200. also, USCG basic has something called "watch", where in groups of three or four you keep an eye on the barracks during the night, this typically takes about two hours out of your sleep time.
- Actually there is a shcedule, sorta. We would have lights on at 5 am usually, but we were expected to be up, clean, dressed, and have the bay clean by that time. So we got up around 3:30. We would go to P.T, (I dunno about running ten miles, i went to basic, and we never did that) But you usually run 60/120's were you sprint for 60 seconds, jog for 120. Your P.t Test involves a times two mile run, so you sometimes run three or four, to get conditioned, but as for 10.....not in my time lol. After about an hour and a half of PT, you go to the DFAC and eat. Then you start your day with training of various sorts, you get alot of "extra" PT by way of an angry Drill Sergeant, which can range from running, to all sorts of excersizes (I think they make them up as they go) but around 11-11:30 you eat again, train, eat.
