can you recommend me some books for sketching?

i need a book that has lots of sketching exercises... monochromatic rendering.... anything that can me learn more about visual techniques.. tnx... kindly give me the name of the book and the author... and also the website where i can buy it online.. happy new year!!!!

3. Sometimes the good old fashion way works well - get thee to the library and sit on the floor thumbing through the books they offer. It is truly inspirational and you can better decide what will fill your needs before buying one.
4. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. It will teach you many things about visual techniques, and spacial art. Don't remember the name, but it is the best. There are also workbooks for it
