i want to learn cartoon drawing,any tips on how to be really good on cartoon artist?

Anyone have tips on drawing cartoon comics? I mostly need to know when and where to shade and fade. Also how to draw "special effects".

Drawing tips for a beginner? At the moment I have NO skill whatsoever in drawing. Im not interested in realistic - art, i just want to be able to draw cartoon characters (such as the simpsons, futurama, etc.) Where is a good place to start? What are some basic tips?

Drawing/cartooning tips? I consider myself a fairly good artist. I don't have problems with actually drawing my pictures, I just need tips on how to make a picture look...dramatic, I guess. I get really cool ideas in my head, but when I go to put them on paper, they always come out looking flat and kind of boring. I could use tips on "camera angles," mood, perspective, etc. Please post links to good online tutorials, if possible. I'd like more specific answers than that. I find deviantart to be a really frustrating website to search through, because there is so much on there. If there are SPECIFIC tutorials on there that you know of that would help, please post the link.

Tips on how i can improve my drawing skills? I'm very good when it comes to copying, but when it comes to drawing something from my imagination it always look cartoony and not how i wanted it to. Drawing tips? Can someone give me some tips on how to copy a picture? I am trying to draw people because I am bored of drawing cartoons all of the time. Tips for unsteady drawing fingers? I'm trying to draw a cartoon on Photoshop, but a little something that is discouraging me is the fact that I really don't have a steady finger for it, so trying to draw something like a circle is a little challenging. How can I get better at drawing my own Cartoon Characters? I used to be interested in Game Designing but I decided to go for Cartoons and Cartoon Animation because when ever I do Game Designing it takes allot of practice and Math so does Drawing Cartoons but when ever I want to do Game Designing I can see me giving it up because its *TOO* Hard, Well back to the Subject. What makes me mad is everytime I try to draw my own Cartoon Character from my mind I make up, I loose focus on it by distractions and I don't even have a desk in my room to practice drawing in my bedroom because I know practice makes perfect but does anyone know any tips on how I can remember my own Cartoon Characters in my mind that I can draw? And can anyone tell me how I can draw landscapes and buildings? It would be really helpful and I am getting really interested into 2D/Cartoon Animation. Like I said, I really like to draw and I don't want to try something that I know I can't on Game Designing but I would like to try out Cartoons instead and if I like it I will go with it and maybe make my own Cartoon Series if possible, Any help would be nice. drawing cartoon help? I am trying to draw a pose for an assignment in cartooning. I am having trouble breaking down the piece I found to basic shapes and picking out what part of the posture to exaggerate to describe personality and situation. The pic I found for reference is of 2 swing dancers. Any advice/tips on what areas to emphasize, or how to simplify the body shapes?

While drawing are you supposed to rest your hand on the paper? I have always doodled and had a passion of animation/drawing cartoons but I just cant seem to. I have seen people draw with their hand resting some with their hand above the paper. Tips? Tips on drawing realistically? I wouldn't consider myself an "artist" but judging from peers, I am a decent "cartoonist" who specializes in making creative cartoon characters and putting them into imaginative situations. However, in a way this kind of frustrates me. I seem to have a knack for fiction. I can write great fiction stories and I can also make spacey electronic music. However, I feel like at the core of my drawing I struggle in drawing realistically and/or in a "real" context. I'd have to say the most realistic thing I've drawn so far is a pencil-sketch of Blur's album Think Tank (you can google it for reference, it's mostly just a redraw I did). But I want to start painting in general as well as drawing more realistically. Generally I prefer abstract art in general but I feel rather ignorant for never trying any real realistic art. So does anyone know ways I can improve the realism of my drawings? I have a basic hold on shadow and lighting, but everything I make still looks "cartoony". Any tips are appreciated.

Tips for drawing...i need help? I have a problem I've been told I have "unlimited potential" when it comes to the pencil. HELP!!!! drawing tips for emotions??? ? I am a decent drawer, of real things. I can't do cartoons. Everyone tells me i'm great but i don't agree. I'm trying to become better so i practice a lot. I'm trying to figure out ideas tho. I'm an "emotion drawer" meaning i draw to my emotions. so I would like to ask for any suggestions for what to draw that deals with something to draw for rape, cutting, anorexia, suicidalness (being suicidal), when you want darkness or it makes you happy, what do i draw for that? losing someone you love, trusting problems, or any other big mental things. Please no rude comments but if anyone has any ideas for what i can draw for these things, i'd really appreciate it. the two biggies are rape, and suicidalness. I know that for it to be my own, i need to come up with idea's and if i try hard enough i can for all of those, but the two that i listed just now (as the "two biggies") are the ones that i need a little extra help with. I will still modify them and make them my own, but i need a starting idea. Please and thank you! and btw, i'm fine, just experimenting. :)

How can i get my pencil drawing of a cartoon to look properly in the computer? I sketch the drawing and i scan it in the computer. I suck at drawing eyes? I am really good at drawing. Cartoon and anime are just too easy, so I lately been drawing actos and movie characters. I see cartoon dollmakers everywhere on the net, how do people get the dollz on the website and make them work. I see many cartoon dollmakers on the net, I see tutorials on how to paste dollz, but none on how to actually get a doll site up and running. How do you get the dollz on the web page and how do you make the click and drag clothing for the dollz. Is there some sort of program to buy to do this or is this all to be done at home on one's own computer. Drawing tips? I'm thinking of starting my own Justice league fan comic featuring Krypto the superdog and a few other superpets such as Streaky the supercat, Ace the Bat-hound and some my OC characters. One thing though, I CAN'T draw people(well not free hand) but when I use tracing paper it's no problem. How to be motivated to draw good back rounds ? I love drawing things like people are animals, and I'm pretty good it, but I need to work on drawing back rounds like objects, landscapes,and buildings but I just can't seem to find the motivation. When I try drawing a full background I get bored,tired, and give up, and work more on animals and people.But if I ever want to become a good comic book, or cartoon artist I'll have to learn to be well rounded, so any tips ? I know some of the basics such as drawing things further away higher on the paper,smaller, and less detailed.,and I know how to draw object such as spheres,pyramids,cubes, but I can't seem to find motivation to draw a detailed buildings or detailed trees.
