What exercises can I do now to prepare for this? There are several studios around - which one I choose will depend on what happens between now and then. Thanks for your answers! :)

Anyone know any creative teaching ideas or art projects for 11 year olds? I am teaching a small class of 11 year olds in rural Ecuador and I have never taught before. The kids don´t get to do many creative exercises or art projects, they mostly work in textbooks. I would like to incorporate some creative exercises for teaching math, science, and social studies. Also, I would like to do more art projects with the kids. Unfortunately, I can´t think of anything. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What are some good boxing/muay thai conditioning exercises? I know muay thai fighters are generally scary when it comes to toughness and conditioning, and boxers have great power and speed as well. What training exercises should I perform for martial arts? I have been lifting weights for the last couple of years. Most of my training is body building by not so much for cardio fitness and flexibility. Just recently within the last few months, I have taken up martial arts. I have listened to blogs about fitness training and I was just wondering what exercises I could do to help me perform better. Another way of putting this question could be, are there any workout machines that may be able to help me train more effectively?
What is a easy martial art for a beginner and learn on my own? I want to get into martial arts to get exercise and lose weight. However I do not have the time nor money to get a trainer. Ideas on how to find a local informal club or train on my would be great. When I say an informal club, I mean a group of people who just hang out because they have the same interests. Sorta like a RC car club, only with martial arts. I do not have the time due to my job and because of the same reason (my job requires constant travel) will not be in a city or place long enough to join a club. Difficult to join and go to a dojo in one city if you are not going to be in that city any amount of time. For those wondering, I am an over the road truck driver. Which means I am always gone and never in one place for long. Hence the reason for no time and not able to join a local gym.

I never really gone to a class(my parents don't have much money left to spend on my classes that i wanna take, i already take guitar and i don't plan of quitting). I need to know what types of exercises i should start with and how many of them i should do. Plz help me.

What are the exercises for entrance exam in Interior Design? I want to study Interior Design as a BA, but most art and design institutes ask the candidates to do those practical exercises as part of their entrance exam. 1. What are you suppose to do in them? 2. Do I need to be very skilled in sketching or is a simple training good enough? Many thanks in advance!

How much of a martial art is athletic ability, and how much is skill? Can someone give me a rough percent? I have heard athletic ability is more important, but then again some people say skill. I want to know, because if it is athletic ability, then I want to train a while before I go into martial arts. If it is more athletic ability, what are some good exercises (probably gonna do BJJ or Judo)? Currently I run, do crunches, pushups, and pullups. Any diet tips?
What are some exercises I could do at home to discipline myself physically - kind of pilates x martial arts? I can't get to any kind of lesson but really want to discipline myself physically. So, I'm looking for some kind of series of exercises I can do, just at home by myself, to get stronger (!!) and like... faster. Improve balance, co-ordination, flexibility, reflexes... like a mixture between pilates or yoga and martial arts... training and working muscles through stretching and that. Something I can make a routine with. Not weights or anything though ;-) Actually (might be asking a bit much) but a website detailing how to do some exercises like this would be absolutely brilliant.

Also must be a martial art that can either be taught by oneself or at least maintained by oneself.
Any thoughts on "In my craft or sullen art" by Dylan Thomas? here's a copy of it. :) mmm.. ive got some thoughts but i dont know.. Im not sure if I interpreted it right. Any ideas? Theyd be very much appreciated. :) Thanks! ----- In my craft or sullen art by: Dylan Thomas In my craft or sullen art Exercised in the still night When only the moon rages And the lovers lie abed With all their griefs in their arms, I labour by singing light Not for ambition or bread Or the strut and trade of charms On the ivory stages But for the common wages Of their most secret heart. Not for the proud man apart From the raging moon I write On these spindrift pages Nor for the towering dead With their nightingales and psalms But for the lovers, their arms Round the griefs of the ages, Who pay no praise or wages Nor heed my craft or art.

How and why do advertisers use specific works of art or artists to sell their products?"? "In what context, and for what effect, do modern filmmakers and television producers employ historic art monuments (architecture, painting and sculpture) in their work?" I just need some ideas. I have 1 slide done, & I have to have 15. I did a slide about the Ab Rocket. I had to explain why consumers are attracted to it, and why they would want to buy it. I said they use skinny people to sell exercise equipment. What are some of the words that attract consumers?
How do I become an actor for police training exercises? I was in the media room in college the other day and my friend was watching a film that was made by one of the students. On it were some actors pretending to be in a situation that the police and other services were involved. It looked like a training exercises and I was wondering what you have to do to get into that profession so to speak. I'm a performing arts student but we haven't been told anything about that, so i was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Is 40 too old to begin studying a martial art ? I am interested in learning a bit of self-defense, as well as getting exercise. I am healthy, except for the occasional backache or sore knee. What would be a good art to study if I want to avoid heavy duty kicking ?
Why can't every town in America have a mini-Greenwich Village section with counter culture art? Why can't the people who think outside the box unite together in every city and town in the USA and not necessarily for political purposes, but to rejuvenate a renaissance of sidestream art, theatre, independent film, fuse multiple cultures together, exercise their pets, create a sense of community for kids without siblings, stuff like that. Like on Sundays. Why can't we try to make this happen? Not with money, but with willpower and heart and soul?
What would be the best marital art for me to study? I’m not so much interested in the “art” part of martial art. I’m looking for 1.) Something that would be very useful in a street fight, regardless of whether it’s “pretty” like Taekwondo or not. I want to avoid confrontation whenver possible, but need something pretty brutal if I can't. 2.) Something I can practice, apart from self defense, as good exercise. I’m thinking boxing or Muay Thai???
Which martial art would fit me best? I am looking to learn a form of martial arts. I want it to be both a way of getting exercise, but also a efficient way of self-defence. I have given thoughts to both kickboxing, karate and taekwondo, but i am open to suggestions. Are there any martial arts experts, who can recommend a certain martial art? Athletic build, medium flexibility, 178 cm tall, 19 years old.

How to get stamina in Martial Art? I am martial artist & I perform energetically all kata & stepping in Dojo. But while I perform kicking I soon get exhausted within little time. This does not happen while I punch. Please guide me how can I overcome this problem. (Please mention, if you know any exercise routine which can improve stamina or any best martial art site in this regard)
What martial art would be better for me? I have recently seen people performing various techniques of martial arts and I think it'd be fun to do. My thing is, I want one than isn't based so much on fighting other people as it is learning the techniques and how to use them. I want something that will provide exercise, maybe get out stress and built up frustrations and is also fun.
Art of the Statesman requires a superior understanding of Art? (LOL) My previous question did not produce satisfactory results, so I'll reformulate it. The skill in which a superior statesman (or stateswoman) manages personal reputation will reflect upon "the state of affairs", as Aristotle intimates. It can be thought of as "spin", or management of appearances, stageplay, and so on. The actor asks, "What is beautiful...and to whom is it beautiful?" There is a moral/ethical component, which Machiavelli revisited in a most radical way. To move fast on the political stage requires careful but quick handling of dangerous props in perilous moments. Skills so acquired increase the power of the actor inasmuch as the ruled accept the ethical/practical beauty of seeing (appearance) them exercised. The shadow on personal liberty is cast. Is there any escape from such an Art? Is this Necessity eternal?
What is the best form of exercise/martial arts to help gain complete muscle control and toning? I'm looking for some type of martial art or other type of structured exercise (other than weight lifting) that will allow me to gain complete control over every muscle and movement as well as strengthen. I've looked at Judo and Muay Thai, but I'm not sure if they are what I'm looking for. Any suggestions? I am also a relatively small, young female that doesn't want to be in a room full of nothing but competitive men.
what are some good endurance exercises? im almost 16. im a black belt in my martial arts class, yet i feel inferior to the other black belts so i would like to change that by first increasing my muscle endurance. i dnt want to increase my muscle mass because i really dont want to lose my speed. what are some great exercises that i can do without relying on equipment and only need a few mins a day?
How can I use eccentric loading exercises to heal my knee? I have hurt my knee to the point that I couldnt easily climb stairs without aching. Now it has healed after some months and it only aches sometimes at random times. I know its still not healed 100% and read somewhere that eccentric loading helps heal tendonitis which is what I might have in a smaller degree. I do martial arts and want to help it heal so I can go back to them like before. Any ideas?
