How To Draw Cartoon Drawing Paper Knowledge Base

What type of pen should I use for thin line drawing? I am a beginner at drawing, mainly drawing cartoon, 'anime-style' drawing. One big difference that I've noticed, however, between my pictures and those of proffesionals, is that the lines the pictures are drawn with are always paper-thin, while mine are thick. What type of equipment, particularly pens, should I use to achieve similarly thin lines in my drawings? Or is there some secret to how they do it?
How do I use a pencil to draw (Cartoon style in particular)? I love looking at animation (Disney, cartoons from pre-Disney, Hana-Barbara, Warner Bros) and have since I was a kid. I'm an old man now and suspect I've gotten a lot of bad habits, but I'd like to be able to draw. I'm not shy of images in my head, but I can't ever seem to get them on paper. In particular, I always seem to have problems getting sharp, clear, smooth and controlled lines on paper when I'm using a pencil. Can anyone offer any advice?

How to get to drawing to the best, details and all? I am getting into drawing a certain manga cartoon style but i have a hard time imagining it and putting it down on paper. I want to draw what I think and see but there is nothing that interests me except small children and things that small children use for example a baby and a bottle. I notice not very many people draw babies or toddlers but I want to draw them in a cartoon manga sort of way. My question is how do I get it out of my head and on to paper details and all. I know that it takes practice but does anybody have any advice for this field?
Where to start drawing? I want to draw pokemon style cartoons. Where should i start? I shake 24/7, will this stop me from drawing like this? And how should i draw them(paper, pens, markers, colored pencils, on computer, etc..) I got all summer to learn.
How do you express your feelings? When I feel towards something, I draw cartoon/picture depicting the situation and my emotions towards it. This keeps my emotions from staying bottled up. i basically spit whats on my mind onto a piece of paper. Also, when I draw a cartoon, it gives me a comical approach to the situation and lifts my spirit. That's how I express myself. How about you?
How many pieces of paper does it take to make a cartoon episode? I was gonna try to make an anime-ish / cartoon thing out of a story I had, but I dont know if Ive got my numbers right. I know that it takes 24 pieces of paper on average to create one second of drawn animation, so how many pieces of paper would it take to make something 25 minutes long?
Kimberly Clark is now offering a new type of toilet paper designed to train kids on how much toilet paper? to use it has doggie tracks printed on the toilet paper, and at roughly every five sheets is a cartoon drawing of a dog. Parents are instructed to teach their children to follow the tracks and then tear off at the dog. Otherwise, the toilet paper is the same paper used in other Cottonelle products. Do you think this is a good idea or no so good? And if your children use this system do they like it?

Is the Art Institutes a good place for a cartoonist like me? I LOVE to draw cartoons, I draw cartoons sometimes wherever an old sheet of paper in my backpack is! I usually save papers instead of throwing them away to draw on them, that's how much I draw. I am a cartoonist right now but I Want to be a bigger one like Matt Groening and make my own show like him. Thanks! :D
Drawing Anime? ? ? ? ? ? So im still very much a newbie concerning animation/cartooning. I really love to draw, or attempt to draw, and I have a few questions concerning "artistic mediums." I have noticed a lot of the artwork that I thought was hand drawn, was actually done using a tablet on the computer. I was like "man i really suck at this, my line quality looks horrible compared to theirs." And it probably does. But I was at least a little relieved to learn that they had done their drawings on Wacom tablets. Now, that being said, is it best if an animator/artist knows how to do BOTH? Sort of like how the really good 3D modelers can both draw on paper and model things on the computer. Or are these two worlds completally seperate?
How can I get better at drawing and not smear my work? I draw a lot of cartoons and comics, and every time I try to draw one, my hand is always really jittery and causes my art to look bad and uneven. And also when I draw, my paper gets wrinkled and the corners of the paper curl up. I think this is caused by the oils from my hands because I sweat a lot when I draw and why I don't know. I just need to know if there is anything I can do to learn how to hold my hand steadier and how I can complete a drawing I start without having the paper get all wrinkled? What should I do?
How can I avoid copyright laws? Hi, I am wanting to make money off my drawings, but I am only good at drawing cartoons, but I can never draw my own art, I am only good at drawing cartoons that already exist. How can I avoid getting in trouble because of copyright laws? Also, I know this isn't about copyright, but if I was to sell them on craigslis or something, would it sell better it it was on like a canvas, or would it be ok to draw it on like a piece of paper and then put it in a frame?
I want to learn how to draw and paint on the computer.. any advice? so I am picking up art... I can draw on paper but I am interested in learning how to made cartoons and such on the computer.. witch do you think I should use, Photoshop or Coral Painter.. or both... and where can I buy cheapo books that will teach me all of this fast.
How can I get better at drawing? I am 18 and I'll be a senior in High School this year and I am thinking of getting into a art class at my new High School I'll be going to. Well what I'm having trouble about this is. I would like to get better at my art and drawing skills. I've been drawing since I was in 1st grade and I've been practicing ever since. I can sketch really good but I'm having trouble with all the shading and I can't think of anything creative. I can be creative and people tell me I'm a really good drawer but what I don't like is when I get something into my head I can draw it on paper but it gets harder after that. I don't know how to draw a full human body and I've been having trouble trying to add some clothes onto the characters, etc. I am wanting to get into Animation for awhile after high school in College and I know animation requires art. And I would like to make anime based animations, etc. In middle school and my freshmen year of high school my art teacher taught us how to draw human shape heads, etc. And I forgot all about that. I really like art and I would like to get better. But the bad problem is. I forgot everything that I got taught back in my art classes. Should I take a art class my senior year of high school to improve my art skills and drawings? And is there any sites that will teach me how to draw human figures, buildings, cartoons, etc? Sorry if no one gets this question. I just want to improve my art. I'm one of those people who have a really good drawing hand and I know how to sketch well. I just cant think of the thing I want to draw and put it on paper. I wanted to make 2D and 3D art. And maybe some fan art from my favorite games, animes, etc. I would also like to know how to draw anime. "I can't draw it on paper"
How are modern cartoon made these days? I want to know how are modern cartoon done these days, by modern cartoon, I mean animated american shows (not japanese animes) such as family guy, the simpsons and other disney stuffs etc. Are they really all hand-drawn on pieces of paper frame by frame, or are they mostly done on computer either with a mouse or a drawing tablet. I am very intrigued. :)
How to be motivated to draw good back rounds ? I love drawing things like people are animals, and I'm pretty good it, but I need to work on drawing back rounds like objects, landscapes, and buildings but I just can't seem to find the motivation. When I try drawing a full background I get bored, tired, and give up, and work more on animals and people. But if I ever want to become a good comic book, or cartoon artist I'll have to learn to be well rounded, so any tips ? I know some of the basics such as drawing things further away higher on the paper, smaller, and less detailed.,and I know how to draw object such as spheres, pyramids, cubes, but I can't seem to find motivation to draw a detailed buildings or detailed trees. Thanks in advance. I mean *people and animals* not "people are animals" :/

is it wrong to think that church is boring.? no offense to anyone who goes to church but when i use to go, omg i would look at my watch every 5 seconds and i just stared off into space praying that this would end. when i was like 10 i use to draw cartoon characters on paper because i was so bored. then the priest or pastor would read a passage from the bible and would go on and on for like 20 minutes on one sentence and they talk like they were there witnessing the event and i would just say to myself move on already i honestly right now in my life dont care what matthew said to john in passage 1million or how david supposedly killed goliath with a stupid sling shot thing. if i had kids i would trust them with michael jackson more then i would with them. who knows what they do in the back room, it seems like every you hear on the news what this priest did to this boy. and wars are fought over relegion because one side says jesus did this first not second just pointless stuff. i do believe in god though. anyoneelse feel the same?
. . . how can i put my imagination and creativity into paper? ..im 16 yearsold and i discovered when i was about 13 or14 that i really have a passion for drawing and artistic stuff. and i have the ability to draw. im acutally good at drawing things that i can see. but its hard for me to draw things that come from my head. sometimes i get these crazy and creative ideas but when i decide to draw them on paper they come out as a total disaster!![most of them] i really get frustrated. i cant really draw without seeing the picture im drawing. my main focus are cartoons and sometimes i try to draw manga too. i really wanna develop my artistic skills , because i want to be a and focus my studies in the area of japanese cartoons or video games such as final fantasy [thats my dream job ...to work with all ppl that create those games]. can anyone give me some tips and tricks plz :) id really appreciate it

How do I make a drawing into a website logo? I've drawn up (and colored) a picture logo on paper for my future website. The website is not yet created, however, how do I transform my drawing into an online picture? Scanning the picture will only get the image onto the computer, I don't want that. I want to transform it into a cartoon image. How can I go about doing that?

Drawing/cartooning tips? I consider myself a fairly good artist. I don't have problems with actually drawing my pictures, I just need tips on how to make a picture look...dramatic, I guess. I get really cool ideas in my head, but when I go to put them on paper, they always come out looking flat and kind of boring. I could use tips on "camera angles," mood, perspective, etc. Please post links to good online tutorials, if possible. I'd like more specific answers than that. I find deviantart to be a really frustrating website to search through, because there is so much on there. If there are SPECIFIC tutorials on there that you know of that would help, please post the link.

How can I get my cartoons published in newspapers and suchlike? I draw cartoons a lot and specialise in doing the small type that are often seen either as strips in magazines and newspapers, or the little single-cell ones that often appear on the front page reflecting a humourous take on the last day's news. How can I get my own work published like this- is it worth taking a more direct approach than simply writing to local papers asking their permission? Thanks.
How do you think of what to draw or what inspires you? Like when I sit down with materials (sharpies/makers for graffiti or cartoons/comics or pencil and paper for realistic) I feel like doing something but I just can't think of what to draw. Can any spanish speakers help me translate this? Are there any spanish speakers out there that can help me translate this?? I'm a little confused, I got a few words but I'm not sure if they make any sense. Hello welcome to the Sammi show! Today I’m going to show you how to animate your own cartoon. -First brainstorm ideas. (It’s acceptable to get frustrated sometimes.) -Once you have decided on an idea for your animated cartoon draw it out on a piece of paper. -After you have made one slide of your animation by drawing your picture take one other piece of paper and trace over your first drawing. Instead of tracing the exact image trace over the picture changing slight movements in objects. -Congratulations! Now your done (laugh) just kidding! Now you must continue adding more pictures to your animation by tracing over your pictures and changing small movements in the picture. -Now you must take pictures of all your pictures and transport them to your computer. -Once you have all of your pictures into your computer upload them all into animation shop 3. -Watch your animation and adjust minor details. -Add music to your animation. -Impress your friends and family. Thanks for joining me on the Sammi Show! Tune in next week to learn how to make a music video. Just kidding, I got kicked off the air. p.s. Please don't aswer if you are just going to copy and paste that into an english to spanish translator, I could have done that, and they don't work, your sentences come up jumbled. Gah I'm not very good with conjugating these verbs.. T_T. Omg louda louda, THANK YOU SOO Much!! I couldn't get half of those words :).

How can I make or who can I pay to make customized wall stickers? I have made a bunch of cartoon art using a drawing program on my PC. I have a few questions about art portfolios for college? I'm applying to a few art colleges, and I've got a few questions. - How do they feel about sketches? - What if I include a sketch and the finished project? - If I draw something from a photo (Not tracing, just trying to eyeball it), should I include the photo? Or should I include a URL? Or should I just say it was referenced? - I don't have a scanner to scan anything I draw on paper, but I have a tablet I use for most of my drawing. Would art drawn on the computer (with a tablet) be acceptable for non-animated works? I'd say my drawing-on-paper and drawing-with-a-tablet skills are about the same, fyi. I prefer computer anyway, can't smudge anything or run out of space on the page. :) - I'm going to try to major in cartooning and animation. Would it help if I experiment with cartoon styles? (Sometimes I like to doodle in styles from shows/movies, like Happy Feet, Dragon Booster... I don't do it so well that it seems like I trace, I try to mix my main style with the other style. And I don't do it for profit or anything, I just do it for fun or for fan art :).) - Any tips for me? :) Besides show variety, draw from life, quality over quantity, show don't tell... And PLEASE don't tell me to go check the schools' websites, because I've looked, and they don't have answers for these kinds of questions. :(
9/11 cartoon help? I saw this drawing in the paper (i think it was new tork times) and it was a drawing of two gaint legs taking the place of the twin towers after they fell. Christians: Why you always insult and torture others religion ? Dont your religion teach you to respect others religion. Some times you draw cartoons against our beloved prophet . Then you draw the Quran on the toilet paper. Now there is a facebook group with the motto. Everybody draw Muhammad day. What the fuck . Does your religion respect others religion at all. I have heard that your religion calls anybody that is not Christian a pig , swine, Right. And that can be felst in your behaviour towards other religion. We are living in a 21 century you day right and that is why women should not wear hijab or besheets on their head according to you. But then how about respecting others religion . Does the 21 century not teach respect for others religion or what?
I really need some help with my science homework? please help?!? Ok my science homework is in for tomorrow. Task: Draw a cartoon to explain what is happening in the reaction. imagine the molocule is made up of a man and a women at a disco. And there is another metal atom who is much more attractive than the other metal. so the less attractive metal loses its partner to the more attractive metal. to get a level 5 it says i have to: - Draw cartoon characters to represent the chemicals in the reaction. - Identify which metal is more reactive than the other using the reactivity series, - identify the elements and compounds - describe the apearance and properties before and after the reaction. To get a level 6 (which i kinda aiming for) - draw cartoon characters to represent the particles in the reaction accuratley.. - write a word equation for the reaction - use some symbols to represtent the elements - explain the lonk between the reactivity series and displacement reaction. - describe why the elements can be classified as elements and compounds. - explain if the mass of the beaker and its contents will stay the same through out the reaction. how to make cartoons??? i wanna make cartoons but wanna kno if drawing them on paper is easier or doing them on computer..could somebody help me with this..
I met the man of my life, but how can i get him to meet up again? Then he replied briefly said, maybe it was my Chinese humour and he was German, and he couldn’t enjoy the fun in that message. He said, he didn’t like the behavior and style. I sent back an email telling him that I felt sorry about my few emails to him. I said I had been trying to distant myself from my feelings about him. I said he had been on my mind often and I for the first time felt it was something quite new to me. (it was true that I have never felt so much about a person like him before). I said I had been behave in a way I myself also felt strange and a bit uneasy too. And I felt my emails might have disturbed him and troubled him which I would never wanted in a way. So I have decided to cool down and get back to my own self and find out what is happening to me and what I really wanted. Then I said I wished him to take good care of himself, not working too hard, taking good of his stomach( I noticed he was quite particular about food but he still missed his meal here and there), and safe driving ( I felt he was a bit careless when he was driving sometimes). And wished him a happy new year ahead. After two days in New year day 2, he replied me with an email as following: Thank you very much for your E-mails and also for your honest replies. I feel a bit guilt, that I was very reserved to you during the last weeks and reacted in case of your sms on Sunday quiet harsh and even unfair. This made me sad, because I find that you are a very kind and charming person, who I enjoyed meeting, but who tries to push me into her life without understanding that I withdraw more and more with each attempt. Sorry, I did not know anymore, how to prevent you from sending me many, extremely long E-mails, which were so well written in perfect English but just telling me “funny" stories about our innocent friendship and praising and making me compliments so many times. Never ever in my life, somebody said so often without any reason “sorry” and “excuse” to me. This let me feel very uneasy and scared me off. After your last E-mail, I feel much better, because now, your behavior and writing is not as contradicting anymore and I don't feel like somebody wants to trapp me in. I didn’t want to reply, I was almost in tears when I read it, I felt we actually both were understanding to each other, both very kind person, but it has been so difficult to get both connected like this, and this was so precious, I was happier than sad, I was sad because I felt pain when I read that he had been sad… I didn’t want him to be unhappy and troubled. I didn’t reply because I felt I could only say, “thank you for your reply and understanding, I understand. “But I didn’t think that would be a proper email, so the following day I replied something like this-- Sorry I was not able to reply your email yesterday as I was getting my punishment --needed to prepare presentation for today's class, and I couldn't get the PDF995 working...anyway, from now on, my passion for writing about daily life, little things, people, and places will be mostly shifted to boring essay, report and paper writings...in order to survive, I am thinking of picking up drawing cartoons... Thank you very much for your email and sharing. I guess I can understand...I have been feeling bad about myself these days. As for the Sunday sms, it was a fun and joking sms, but it was not appropriate to be sent to you, I should have expected the misunderstanding, and to top it off, I commented you were oversensitive...Is there anyway I can take back those words? Too late? I have been thinking about a best way to punish myself, such as eat four meals a day instead of 3 meals, no smile at all for one day...not easy to find one..what could you suggest? He didn’t reply. After few days, I tried to start chat as if nothing happened before. And we had a few times very pleasant chat last week about religion, culture, history and jokes. It was very nice feelings. Saturday evening on the chat he even told me he was checking houses whole day with property agent, he wanted to buy a house. All went quite happily, but evening, I sent him an sms asked if he was free to meet up for a drink. He said he was on his way with friends to a party. The following day I saw the party picture on his friend’s party where he brought a girl as partner to the party. It was almost the same group of friends he brought me to the party before. I felt a bit sad but I was thinking maybe I shouldn’t disturb him any more since he has been seeing new girl.
Wacom Bamboo Questions? I have been doing research on drawing tablets for my mac and Wacom's products looked the most suitable. I have a few questions about the tablets, hopefully someone can answer them? How difficult is it to go from drawing on paper to drawing with the disjointed tablet and screen? Is it worth paying an extra 75 dollars to get the Bamboo Fun vs the Bamboo Craft? Does the large screen make a difference? I want to use the product for amateur animation and maybe dabble in some cartooning or something, is this a suitable product for me? I forgot! I draw with my hand resting on the paper. Will the tablet respond (AKA go nuts) if I do that?
How do I go from simply coping a drawing to creating my own? I took drawing classes for about 2 years and mainly did live human figures. I've stopped taking classes and I can draw someone in front of me pretty well. If I look at a comic or cartoon character I can also copy that pretty well too. However if I just sit there with a pencil and paper I can't just create a character from my head. I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions? I'd like to be an animator and character designer. Thanks Thanks smallramiro but I don't have a scanner right now and can't don't have any of my drawings uploaded. But thanks for your advice. It sounds pretty reasonable. The reason I asked this question is, whenever I ask a pro how to improve my work they always give me the same annoying answer "Just keep on drawing". Great but if I'm doing something wrong then I'll just be doing the same wrong things over and over. Not very helpful.
what if i wanted to do a cartoon ? im really good at drawing.... but if i wanted to make a little show with my cartoons.... do i use a computer, paper ? how would i go about doing that ?
Why is it such a 'forbidden' thing to draw the Prophet Muhammed?? Do you think he would really care? After that whole Danish cartoon strip thing went awry, I begin to wonder, exactly Who said - 'Don't EVER draw the Prophet Muhammed!!' ?? I have not read the Koran, but I'm pretty sure there is no passage that says, 'don't draw me'. True enough, if ANYBODY is drawn in a disrespectful way, the people who have affection for that person will naturally be upset. But, isn't Jesus ALSO considered a prophet by the teachings of Islam??? And isn't he ALWAYS depicted in some fashion, sometimes not very kindly?? Why is there no ranting and raving when THAT happens?? I mean a prophet is a prophet, right?? It would seem to me that this is yet another 'accepted misapplication' of vague and unfounded principles. If the Prophet Muhammed was alive today, I highly doubt he would understand or approve of how people have made him out to be some untouchable man-deity like figure. Ofcourse the actual teachings of Islam teach that Allah is God, but the ACTIONS of the people show that they consider Muhammed to be on an equal plane as God. Sunnis and Shia kill each other over who his 'succesor' should be - But shouldn't God's will to keep peace take precedence, is that not MORE important??? How could a man go from being a Camel caravan manager, to a 'untouchable' holy figure that is so divine that he can't even be depicted on paper??!?? True enough, Jesus also had humble beginnings, but the Bible does not say 'thou shalt not depict thy Lord' either. And any depiction will remain just that, a 'depiction', because no one knows exactly what he looked like anyway, and what is more important is WHAT he did, not HOW he looked when he did it. I see many 'depictions' of Jesus that as a Christian, I don't like. But Jesus knows what he looks like, just as I know what I look like. But taking up arms and killing people over it would be a DIRECT contradiction to EVERYTHING Jesus taught - Peace, Mercy and Love. Does not Islam teach the same?? I can partly understand the 'idolatry' reasoning and argument. Idolatry is also considered a sin in Christianity. But to say that no 'image' of the prophet should be made is still 'extreme'. What about the people who DID see him?? What that reasoning also imply that nobody should SEE him either?? I mean afterall, what would be more conducive to idolatry a 'image' of the person, or the person himself?? Think about it. MANY people saw Jesus, and yet some of his own disciples left him and did not believe. An image MAY cause idolatry, but keep in mind that idolatry is the worship of ANYTHING that is put before God. Blindly following behind man made traditions could also be considered idolatry. What about the Sun, it was created by God and has more power than ANY man, yet it is not idolized by Islam, and we ALL see it, whether we want to or not....so that argument is somewhat reasonable but it still falls short.

I dont understand something. can you plz help me!!!? i live in a foreign country where i mostly understand the language. but my art teacher (who doesnt speak english) tries to teach me how to do that thing when you look at a still life (not drawn) and measure it and then draw it on your paper. its that thing that you see in the cartoons when they use there thumb and squint. my teacher says something like the length is the same as the width or something like that. and that i have to measure- i dont get it!! if it helps: when she tries to explain it to me she usually puts a cloth as a background with a half open pot with fruit next to a little tiny pot with a long handle. i have to do it as a pencil or a charcoal drawing please explain to me how to do it!!!! if you need more details, because i dont know what else to write, write it in your answers(along with your answers) instead of using our thumb, we use a knitting needle.
How can I submit my drawings/cartoons on line or the local paper.? When I was younger I used to love to draw and paint. Friends and relatives would always say that I would go places with my art. Thirty years later I still have not done anything with it. Recently I started drawing again and I'm really enjoying it. My wife and relatives are telling me I should really think about submitting my work but I don't know where to start. Should I go online or try my local newspaper ads? PLEASE, if there is anyone out there that may be in advertising or knows how to get my work public, please advice. Thank you.
Can someone explain to me technical details of classical animation for my edification? I've read the Wiki article(s) and watched Disney's multiplane camera film on YouTube. What I'm hoping is for some insight into the following questions: How do animators draw on paper (before the cells are traced/inked from the paper) and still remain in sync with the background plates? How come we never seem to see variation in the thickness of inked lines on animated characters? I understand that coloring is done on the back of cells so the "plane" of color is always flat, but how do they keep the coloring: 1) from having brushstrokes/variances in shading, and 2) keep the coloring precisely within lines of the characters? (This must just be tortuously painstaking.) How come cells don't have fingerprints all over them? How are animations so evenly lighted when they're shot over an immense amount of time (power surges, brown outs, especially in 40s and 50s animations)? Technical Bonus Question: Why do animated feature length films and short cartoons look so colorful and consistently superb regardless of film stocks used, when live-action films have obvious problems with graininess, color matching, saturation, contrast, etc.?

RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE (10 EASY POINTS)? Hi, so i have to draw a little cartoon picture of any rube goldberg machine. i was thinking of (maybe, not really) how to switch on a light switch or how to turn off a light switch, but i really wanted to draw a little cartoon picture on how to turn off an alarm clock on a 8 by 11 sheet of paper. So the rules are: -has to have a minimum of 5 steps -has at least one animal involved -has at least one plant involved -at least 3 simple machines (like a pulley, wheel and axle, screw etc...) TO THE PERSON WHO HELPS ME OUT WITH EITHER THE LIGHT SWITCH ONE OR THE ALARM CLOCK ONE(WHICH I REALLY WANT) I WILL GIVE U 10 POINTS THANKS!!!
Why are political cartoons bad? I was assigned to do a paper about how political cartoons are good and bad. I need help drawing examples of both points but I am struggling more with why they are bad. Also if you know any websites I could reference let me know. Thanks for any help.
How do I translate a picture?(Transformation)? I'm learning transformations in class. It's been easy so far but now my teacher wants us to translate a picture. I only know how to translate lines. She told us to pick ten points on the picture and write down the new equation in slope intercept form for each point. Here's what's written in the assignment: For this project, you will be asked to draw out a familiar cartoon character onto a coordinate place, using graph paper that I will provide. You will then pick at least 10 points on your character to make a vertical and horizontal slide with. You should do both shifts together as one, or you may choose to do one shift at a time. You must also dilate the cartoon, you may choose to shrink or expand. You do this by multiplying both numbers by a scale factor. Anything less than 1 creates a shrink, anything more than one creates an expansion. A good graph will still be recognizable after the shifts, have color, and be detailed. Along with your cartoon slide, you must also turn in the TWO sets of the new points (one with a shift, and the other with a shift and dilation) That's all the instructions she give us. Please help. I'm so confused right now. :( My ten points are: 1. (6,-2) 2. (9,-11) 3. (8,5) 4. (6,-3) 5.(5, -2) 6. (5,-8) 7. (6,-8) 8. (9,-4) 9. (6,-7) 10. (4,-3) Could you show me how i would get the equation for the new points? My graph only goes up to 12 and to the left -12. It only goes down -12 and to the right -12. I could be so grateful if you would also show be how to dilate the picture. I want to make it smaller. Thanks. p.s. if you want to find out what what cartoon i'm doing just type in baby bruce into google images. it's from neopets. It's the one with the bow. IT'S SOOOO CUTE! thanks again for taking the time to read and help me with all of this!
How do I modify pictures from my computer to Flash 8? So far I have managed to paste pictures to Flash, but I am having trouble modifying them. I want to create a cartoon version of this pic, by using it just as the background and drawing over it like tracing paper. But whenever I try to draw over it, the picture either moves or what I have just drawn over it disappears. I have tried using it as a symbol but that doesn't help. I am having to use loads of layers to make this work, which only confuses it more. I have kind of given up on drawing with Flash, and tried doing it with Paint and Art Rage, then pasting it as an image to Flash. However even this doesn't work as neither of them are compatible with Flash!! What should I do? This is very frustrating.......
Pen and Ink tips...Comics/Manga...Help? I draw comics and cartoons, and I need to use rulers to make straight lines for my backgrounds and objects, but when I use my dip pens and move the ruler out of the way, the ink on the line swishes across the paper leaving a mess, it only doesnt do this when it dries, but it takes some time to letting the ink dry which makes me become impatient with my backgrounds, I have to stall on every little line just for it to dry, and it becomes irritating after a while, any solutions?...Or is that how its suppose to be using rulers and dip pens? Do I just have to accept the time it will take for my lines to dry?....

Graphic design help with drawing? I would like to create a digital file (whether it's Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator) for a t-shirt. I need to draw three cartoon figures (black and white) and add text. I am able to draw them on paper, but don't know if scanning the image is my best bet or if there is some uncomplicated way to draw them digitally. Any advice? I only have Adobe Creative Suite, no special tools or anything. Let me clarify. Yes, I have worked with these programs, but not in the capacity that I have drawn out/sketched images. I have created files using pre-existing elements and manipulated them (like to create a poster using images that already exist, like photos from the web), but have never used the pen tool to actually draw out a figure (say, for example, to draw out a cartoon cat). I don't know how hard it is and which tools to use to create a figure from scratch.

The Bomber crew tried to get the belly gunner out, but no success. in a desperate attempt to save himself from being crushed in the landing process, the gunner (who's hobby is drawing cartoon) drew on a piece of paper, the bomber complete with landing gear. And then a miracle happend a cartoon landing gear suddenly appear and surpisingly capable to be used during landing. And at the end the gunner survive, after everyone is safe on the ground the landing gear magicaly disappear and dropping the plane to the ground crushing the belly gun compartment. pleas2 help me if anyone know what's the title of this movie. Thanks

Drawing tips? I'm thinking of starting my own Justice league fan comic featuring Krypto the superdog and a few other superpets such as Streaky the supercat, Ace the Bat-hound and some my OC characters. One thing though, I CAN'T draw people(well not free hand) but when I use tracing paper it's no problem. I thought about printing out pictures and screenshots of the chracters from both cartoon series and practicing drawing them with tracing paper. But does anyone have any drawing tips or advice? The strip is humor based and will be posted on deviantart.com
What's a good thing to draw or doodle inside a Valentine's Day card? I want to make a special valentine's day card for the girl I like. If she feels the same way about me when I tell her I like her, I'd like to make my friend something sweet. Doesn't it bug you there are fourth dimensional beings watching you right now? When you draw a cartoon on a piece of paper those things in that cartoon go on living their lives which you have constructed for them completely oblivious to us watching them. In the same way we are being observed by fourth dimensional beings and none of this is real.
Creating A Cartoon From Drawings? I see some of the disney people draw a character on paper. So do they draw each keyframe / scene on paper? Or is there a way to animate a cartoon from paper and make him move...?
what is wrong with me? art? hi, i like visual arts and everything else related to it. so anw, i'm 15. but i dunno, my 'taste' sort of keep changing over the years. For instance, when i was very young, i only drew stuff i saw, like from books and stuff. so i draw those cartoon characters, which i think is extremely childish now. later, i started crazeover anime and drawing manga. i still is, now. so erm, at first, it was plain drawing on paper. over a few months, i wasn't satisfied, so i started doing stuff on softwares. so i drew lineart and whatever, and then edit everything in comicworks ,photoshop etc. then now, i want to buy copic sketch to draw. now, i am doing graffiti. and then previously, i was crazy over sewing. i was like making skirts, blouses, totes, purses etc. then i suddenly quit, and i started polymer clay and making jewellery. what the HELL!? is it like i'm too fickle minded or something?! please tell me. another thing. i keep getting sick of what i did. like i could draw something, and then i wake up the next morning, i just feel disgusted by what i drew, so i tend to destroy it. i deleted my whole deviantart account because i was sick of everything i did, cuz i think they're ugly. i threw away my entire sketchbook after years of drawing. i keep deleting and deleting whatever stuff i did. i keep feeling ugly. what the hell!?!? oh and erm, well, i try to keep the stuff i do in some place, but i still cant stand it so i want to throw everything away and start all over again. and it's basically the same for like everything i did. and yeah, i did sculptures before as well. ceramics and pottery. after a while, i just hate whatever stuff i did.
